With reference to Monsieur de Oxholm'a note

No.5-L/GH.No.230/31 of the 20th ultimo, enquiring whether

the new regulations replacing Tables 'A' and 'D' of the

Hongkong Merchant Shipping Ordinanes Fo.10 of 1899 have

yet been issued by the Government of the Colony, I have

the honour to inform you that the Hongkong Government are

not yet in possession of the neport of the Conference held

at Simla in May last on the subject of the Indian Pilgrims

and Deck Passengers Traffic. A copy of the depart is

however, being sent to the Governor at an early date and on

receipt of the deprt the Hongkong Government will consider

the issue of the regulations in question. The Governor

will be asked to forward copies of the new regulations

when issued and I shall have the honour to transmit them

to you in due course.
